lots of baseball, no peanuts please

Not too long ago we went to a local minor league game. The kids always have fun but Brian and I are always on the lookout for peanuts and try to sit as far away from anyone with a bag of peanuts. Thankfully, Jeremiah knows not to touch peanuts becuase of his allergy but we will definitely have to teach Annalise. Somewhere during the first inning she found a peanut shell and tried to give it to her brother. I am sure people were wondering why I was acting hysterical and yelling at her. But despite that fiasco we had a great time.

Jeremiah and Brian

The kids and I

Jeremiah and Annalise from their favorite vantage point. Annalise really liked watching the jalapeno pepper mascot dancing around the stadium. However, I am pretty sure she would have started crying if he came too close.

Jeremiah likes to sing. During the first inning he started to sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game at the top of his lungs. He received a round of applause but we had to explain to him that there is a time that you are actually supposed to sing it.

A little vacation

I am very lucky to have Brian as a husband. He decided that it would be a good idea for me to take a little vacation all by myself to visit some of our friends in California. On the way to Los Angeles I felt I was missing a large part of myself. Oh wait, that might have been the diaper bag. It was nice taking a vacation but I definitely missed the kids and Brian. However, Dex and Kristin were great hosts and I was able to enjoy my fair share of Korean food, something that is lacking in Texas and of course able to enjoy the beach, great scenery and local California cuisine.

Kristin and I overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the start of a great trail that took you right down to the beach.

Dex posed with this pirate at the UCLA book fair for Jeremiah because Jeremiah still loves anything and everything pirate.
