My oh my where does the time go!?!

Well I must admit I have been slacking keeping the blog up to date. The leaves have fallen from our trees and its almost time for Thanksgiving and the last post I wrote was about Jeremiah starting school. Oops! I guess there is no time like the present to quickly rehash what has happened over the past few months.

We have settled in nicely into our home in Ohio. Jeremiah really likes school and his teacher. Its interesting that at this early age I have to probe to get him to say anything about what happened at school. I have learned that my questions have to be very specific otherwise I get the inevitable "nothing" answer.

Annalise has become more adamant about her likes and dislikes. Currently we are experiencing a polka dot fetish. She has to wear polka dots everyday. So at least some part of her wardrobe has to have polka dots. I have even resorted to stretching the truth and saying phrases like "look these flowers have polka dots in the center" so we do not have a total meltdown.

This fall Jeremiah played soccer for the Y and had a great time. I am impressed with his ball handling skills. He really likes playing goalie as well. Annalise took swim lessons and after the first day she told me that she likes swimming but she does not like the teacher because she sings too much. Let me explain, Anna's teacher sings songs that include swim skill development, but like I said she is adamant. As a result during swim class if the teacher sang Anna would refuse to do the skill (like blow bubbles in the water) but as soon as she stopped singing she would do the skill.

We also had a ton of visitors this fall. Brians friend Dan from the Academy drove through and we held a mini reunion in September. It is nice that Brian has a few classmates who live in the area. Our friends Ben and Shannon who lived here when we lived here before also stopped by. They currently live in Pittsburgh. It was great to see if Jeremiah and Benji would get along like they used to. They met when they were 6 months old and were pretty much best buddies until we moved in 08. My mom flew in for a short weekend visit in October and Brian's parents were here last week.

So here is a story in pictures of the last two months.
