Our Version of March
Well March is always a whirlwind month for us. Three birthdays within weeks of each other definitely make the month fly by. We celebrated my 30th birthday in Dallas. The next morning I participated in the first Dallas Rock n Roll half marathon. Brian took care of the kids and was able to get them to the finish line to see me cross. They did a great job of cheering me on. As usual the Rock n Roll races are a lot of fun and I was able to run a personal best time for me, 1 hr 48 minutes. Oddly enough, the 30-34 year female running bracket is one where women are faster so its a good thing that I am keeping pace.
Running about 50 feet from the finish line. The best part of a long race and when the end is in sight.
Jeremiah with his cheering P.F. Chang sticks. They were serving free food, but after running that far, it takes me awhile to get my appetite back.
Jeremiah cheesing and Annalise checking out the medal. We celebrated Jeremiahs birthday earlier in the month as a family but we decided to have a combo birthday party (at least while the kids are too young to complain about them) at a great burger place in town. It has a great open field for the kids to run around in and plus the food is awesome. We invited a few of the kids friends and we had a great time.
Rayven, Jeremiah and Ethan getting ready to go outside, his other friend Ethan is in the background.
The slowest way to eat a cupcake, sprinkle by sprinkle. It finally got to a point that I even said Anna lets open your presents and she told me "you do it." That girl and her sprinkles.
Ben kicking a soccer ball and Annalise running toward the fence.
Ethan, Jeremiah, Rayven and Gatin playing.
Jeremiah and Gatlin getting ready for the birthday party to start. So of course since we had Jeremiahs own family party, we definitely had to give Anna her very own party. Annalise loves and I mean loves Ladybugs. So I made her a ladybug cake, (much easier than a pirate ship) and it was a hit. She had her two year check up that day as well and is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 36th for height. Oh I so hope that was a mismeasurement otherwise we know she has inherited her moms short genes. She has definitely become a running, talking two year old. She likes to repeat a lot of what Jeremiah says, and to do what Jeremiah does. Her favorite sayings "What happened?" "I do it" "I want nothing" (this is usually at breakfast) She has continued to potty train herself and hopefully buy the end of April we will no longer need Pull Ups.
Pirate Jeremiah (yes he still loves pirates) and Annalise checking the cake out
